What is Bowls in Brazil?
Bowls in Brazil & Bowls in Buenos Aires are tours run by Best of Brazil Ltd, with the support of eight bowls clubs in South America, and the respective Bowls Federations of Brazil and Argentina. Best of Brazil Ltd was established for the specific purpose of running these tours to ensure that all of its affairs are managed properly, and that your holiday money has protection required by European regulations.
Do I have to be a bowler to come along?
Absolutely not! Many people who've never played bowls, and would never dream of doing so, come on this tour and enjoy it so much they come year after year. It's a holiday where you can play bowls if you want to, but you can also swim, play tennis, sit on a beach, go sight-seeing, shop, sleep, eat, drink....... It's your holiday after all!
Do we get to see The Amazon or the rainforest?
Sadly not. It's in the north of Brazil. But you do get to see sub-tropical rain forest, and the mighty Parana river. You also get to see world famous landmarks like Christ Statue, Sugar Loaf mountain, Perito Moreno glacier, the Andes mountain range, and the incredible Iguassu Falls.
Is it safe?
Safety isn't a problem so long as you're sensible. Our experienced tour manager will be with you all the time, staying in the same hotels, and can advise on security matters during the trip.
What about the language?
Portuguese in Brazil, Spanish in Argentina. But many of the bowlers at the clubs we visit speak English, and your tour manager is always on hand to help out.
When do you travel and what does it cost?
Generally the tour will go in mid-October to mid-November. There are three tour options in terms of dates and locations, and to find out these it's best to request our brochure. It will tell you all the details you need to know. Price information won't be published on this site.
What about money?
It's reais in Brazil and pesos in Argentina, though US dollars can also be useful.
